Since the publication of Flight in January of this year, I’ve had an abundance of conversations around the growing normalcy of what was once considered paranormal, namely altered states of consciousness, the fluid nature of reality, NDEs/OBEs, Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs), and close encounters of various kinds. Through these conversations, two things have become clear to me:
- I’m not nearly as isolated in my experiences as I thought, and
- All of these experiences are like individual fingers on the same hand. They seem separate, but they are functionally connected.
There’s a bigger, grander picture at play that has always been at play, but a picture that we have been slow or perhaps unable to see. So why are we now seeing it? What has changed? Why are great communities of people, the ones having these experiences, coalescing all over the planet as if they are preparing for something?
While I’m curled up with a good book, or admiring the stars, or listening to a chorus of insects belting out their greatest hits, these are the questions I ponder, and I know that countless others are pondering the same. I feel so close to knowing the answers, but each new experience changes my perspective, adds a bit more awareness, and reminds me that I don’t know the half of it.
Still, I’ve been on this journey with one foot and two ankles in nonphysical reality for nearly 40 years, it’s nice to know there are so many others– doctors, scientists, teachers, clergy, pilots, farmers, children, military personnel… Chances are fairly high that you know someone or are someone who has experienced something profound. For me, there’s no signs of slowing. It’s full steam ahead in this practice of spiritual expansion. I hope the same for you!
